Company History:
1997 - 1st Computer Traders Ltd (1CT) was established in 1997 as an IT Asset Management business.
1998 - 1CT wins the IBM contract to erase data and recertifyHard Disk Drives throughout Europe.
1999 – 1CT launches its Data Recovery Solutions to Law Enforcement, Local Authorities, Corporate clients and home users under the
Disklabs Brand.
1999 – Disklabs become the first UK Western Digital approved Data Recovery Partner whose relationship still stands to date.
2000 – Disklabs Partner with Mirec to manage the Dell Hard Disk Contract.
2002 - Disklabs gains ISO 9001: 2000 accreditation.
2003 – Disklabs launch its Forensic Data Recovery service to law enforcement, forensically repairing damaged exhibits.
2004 – Disklabs Mobile Phone and Computer Forensic Laboratory are completed and Forensic services are offered to Police Authorities,
Government Departments, Legal Services and Corporate clients.
2006 – Disklabs provide Forensic Services to Ernst & Young and EMC.
2007 - Disklabs launch the Phone-Shield Faraday Bag.
2008 – 1CT changes it name to Disklabs Ltd consolidating its Specialist Data Services into three areas:
• Digital Forensics,
• Data Recovery
• Certified Data Erasure.
2008 – Disklabs undertake Cell Site Analysis.
2008 – Disklabs are approved as CPD trainer for Legal Services.
2009 – Disklabs gain ISO 27001:2005 Information Security Management and ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management.
2009/10 – Disklabs currently working toward ISO 17025:2005.
Summary:
Disklabs have consolidated its Specialist Data Services into three areas: Digital Forensics, Data Recovery and Certified Data Erasure.
Disklabs have been providers of Digital Forensic Services to Government Departments, Law Enforcement, Legal Services and Corporate clients for more than 5 years. These forensic services focus on three areas of expertise - Computer Forensics, Mobile Phone Forensics and Cell Site Analysis of which 35 out of 43 police forces to date have utilised.
With secure dedicated facilities in the Midlands, Disklabs employ experts within their field, with years of experience, specialist training, education and court experience.

Disklabs are at the forefront of digital forensic technology with the production of the first multi use windowed Faraday bag for police forces. Disklabs are the only UK service provider undertaking hardware and hexadecimal Forensic Data Recovery for physical and logically damaged police exhibits.
